Not soon after deciding to grow locs,Xavier shares with us that he was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma which caused him to lose his locs while receiving treatment for his condition.Miraculously a year later Xavier was cured and had beat cancer, which is when he decided to re-grow his locs."I use the dreads as a timeline for how long I've been cancer free.", says Xavier.Not only is Xavier Mclendon a dreadsetter but he's also a photographer and has his own company called Focused Mind Photography which he created after his battle with cancer."I have a new perspective on things,on Life, and Myself.I'm focused.",says Xavier.For more on this Dreadsetter be sure to read the launch issue.
